Nellie Furtado Says her daughter saved her upcoming album with some blunt advice … calls her thinking Auto-Tune is cool.
The singer songwriter also spoke NME About her upcoming album “7”… and admits she goes a little crazy when her daughter autotunes before shutting her down.
Furtado tells her Nevis20, her auto-tune isn’t great, full stop … so, it shouldn’t come anywhere near her new record.
On top of that … NF says Nevis says her people love her music because it’s so multi-dimensional – so she knows she has to dig deep instead of relying on technology to do the job.
It’s a bit shocking considering Nellie uses Auto-Tune … ’cause she wasn’t a fan of the technology earlier in her career. He gave an interview in 2004 where he said that he never uses technology. Watch the clip — she seems very unsure why anyone would.
BTW … Nevis is also in the music industry, and he helped his mom with the album — so his advice came from a daughter and colleague.
As for the album — her first since 2017’s “The Ride” — Nelly says she hasn’t set foot in a recording studio in three years…
The album is out September 20th… Auto-Tune not included!
