‘Hill Street Blues’ actor 90

James P. Sicking is an actor known for acting in shows like Hill Street Blues And Dougie Howser, MD, is dead. He is 90 years old.

Sicking died of dementia at his Los Angeles home on Saturday, where his publicist Cynthia Snyder tells Deadline the actor was surrounded by family in his final moments.

“In a remarkable career, Sikking’s wonderfully enthusiastic face gave us a story of drama, comedy, tragedy and hilarity. “His career spanned more than six decades on television, film and stage,” Snyder said in a statement, adding: “His talent, honesty and imagination captivated and delighted audiences.”

Most famous for playing Lieutenant Howard Hunter Hill Street Blues and Dr. On David Hauser Dougie Howser, MDHe also appeared in shows like Sikking Rawhide, Bonanza, Starsky & Hutch, Rockford Files, Brooklyn South, twist, General Hospital And Control your excitement.

Born March 5, 1934 in Los Angeles, Sicking was named after author James Barry. “It seemed like the perfect choice,” Snyder said. “There’s a bit of Peter Pan in James… his sense of imagination came through whether he was playing roles on stage or screen.”

He studied theater at UCLA, where he met wife Florine Kaplan while serving in the Army.

Sicking is survived by wife Florine, son Andrew, daughter Dr. Emily Sicking and four grandchildren.
