Update to latest…: Animation’s dominance at the global and international box office continues with Universal/Illumination Despicable Me 4 This frame and Disney/Pictures pack is leading the way Inside Out 2 Still burning positively after five sessions. At the same time, we see encouraging numbers for all major titles in the publication. That’s a big deal; Yes, there is reason to be positive.
Already this week, Inside Out 2 It became Pixar’s highest-grossing film worldwide Despicable me/Partners First franchise to reach $5B worldwide. None of the currently released films are in the final stage. To wit: DM4 There are still Japan, Korea and Italy.
IO2Meanwhile, Japan goes on Aug. 1 — and that market picture could help push the sequel to the past Frozen 2 It became the biggest animated film of all time worldwide.
Outside of the family-oriented sphere, we have the Paramounts A Quiet Place: Day One Makes noise as it crosses $100M overseas and $200M worldwide. Also, new this weekend Twisters, by Warner Bros., with an $11.5M opening in 38 markets, including Australia, Mexico and Brazil. Uni has it locally and will start rolling it out on July 19.

Inside Out 2 did $50.2M 47 in commodity markets (-38% vs. last week), to raise offshore debt $777.5M and universal $1,350.1M.
