Kaitlyn Clark was hit in the head by Angel Reese and was treated so hard by the Chicago Sky on Sunday that Dave Portnoy was hit on the WNBA team.
Clarke and the Indiana Fever face Chicago for the first time since the No. 1 overall pick in the WNBA draft was brutally bodychecked by Sennady Carter earlier this month.
The Fever won the first meeting at home on June 1, 71–70, but a hip-check foul by Skye Carter put the game under wraps before Clark inbounds.
It was ruled a common foul, upgraded to a flagrant foul the day after the game.
But on Sunday, it didn’t take long for Clarke to be targeted again by Reese, Carter and their ski teammate Dana Evans.

Carter refused to let go of Clarke’s hand and threw it in the air before saying something to her.
Barstool president Dave Portnoy took to X to accuse Chicago Sky of ‘doing Chicago Sky things’.
As Clarke drove toward the basket in the first quarter, Evans snuck her arm through Clarke and grabbed her to stop her momentum.
But when Clarke motioned to the referee for a foul, Evans appeared to say something before throwing his arm away from Clarke and smiling in the Fever star’s direction.
This prompted Barstool Sports president Portnoy to post a clip of the play on X and write, ‘Chicago Sky doing Chicago Sky stuff.’
After the Reese foul, Portnoy posted: ‘Shocker. Angelo Reese and Skye Angel Reese and Skye doing things. Caitlin cooks them.’
Then, in the third quarter, Clarke was diving for a basket when Reese smashed her in the side of the head.
The ball had already gone past the former LSU player, who continued to hit Clark in the head with his forearm.
The bodycheck earlier this month, for which Carter said he had no regrets, sparked days of social media controversy that divided fans and led to accusations of racism from both sides.
Portnoy is a huge fan of Clarke and recently opened up about his snub from the Olympics roster
Speaking before Sunday’s game, Carter said, ‘I’m ready to play today.
‘I don’t care what people say. I don’t care what they say. I’m locked out.’
Clarke aims to stay above the fray, but recently made it clear that she doesn’t want to use her name to push political agendas. He added that Carter did not need to apologize for the mistake.
‘Basketball match. I understand,’ said Clarke. ‘Sometimes your emotions get the best of you – this has happened to me many times in my career. People are competitive.
‘(Carter) is having a fantastic season. She’s played great basketball – in my view, probably the number one sixth player of the year.’
