Google’s newly expanded Find My Device platform features two new trackers from Chipolo: One Point Key Finder and Card Point Wallet Finder. While these trackers are dedicated to Google’s location tracking service, Cipollo also offers similar One Spot and Cart Spot trackers for Apple’s Find My service.
The names here are pretty self-explanatory. The new One Point Wallet Finder resembles a thick credit card that slips into your purse or wallet. The latter is small enough to be used in other situations, such as keeping tabs on your luggage, bike or even a pet’s collar.
The Chipolo One Point has a one-year battery life and a replaceable battery. It’s also the loudest of the two, coming in at 120dB. The Chipolo card points to 105dB and has a two-year non-replaceable battery – with Chipolo you can recycle the card and replace it at end-of-life (with a new product at 50 percent off). Renewal Plan.
Both point trackers have a location range of 60 meters (nearly 200 feet), support Android’s Fast Name feature, and are IPX5 rated water-resistant — meaning they won’t get submerged even if they get caught in heavy rain. Point Trackers must be paired with an Android device running at least Android 9 and have Google Play Services installed.
Advance orders Currently available, delivery expected in “second half of July 2023”. Chipolo will return $28 per point or $79 for a pack of four. Chipolo Card points are $35 for four or $112 (replacement cost after a few years). A bundle with one card point tracker and two one point trackers is available for $77.
Correction: May 11, 6:50 a.m. ET: An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated that the Cipolo Point bundle contained one of each tracker. The package actually contains two one point trackers and one card point tracker. We apologize for this mistake.
